[discussion about how my co-worker wanted to have me drive her to a near by restaurant for lunch instead of walking]

No. What I really need to do is convince everyone else to walk too, so no one will drive her.

that's true - it'll probably be easier to convince the ENTIRE department than her

Andre says:
To get people to do what you want, it is usually to difficult to do. It is much easier to remove thier alternatives.
