\s-2The purpose of this from is to establish that at some point in time,
a student was permitted to do something that might be questioned as
unusual. It is not meant to hold the signer directly accountable for that
decision, but to provide a permanent record of that permission, so, in
future, any staff that requrires it have appropriate documentation without
the need to contact the original staff member that permitted the request.
This is especially to ease transitions as new staff fill positions in
