Sorbus:
Overview

Andre Masella; Informative; Version 1; Working Copy on 2005-11-23

Sorbus is an attempt to create an operating system in a functional language. There are two almost entirely separate components: an interpreter for the functional language and the operating system proper.

For general information, consult Rationale (1R), License Agreement (1P), and Versioning (1R).

The language used is described as Functional Assembly. Currently, the language is defined by Data Types (1P), Execution (1D), and Primitives (1D).

The operating system has yet to be defined in any way.

Project information is available at the Sorbus web page. The latest version is available in the git repository located in the Sorbus Repository. A daily extract of the repository is also available.

All documentation is available in HTML or PDF formats.
